Consultant, Central Minnesota, June 2004 to Aug 2004. The project consisted
of 4,300 acres of intensely managed very high yielding crops on sandy soil.
The 36 center pivots ranged from new to 30+ years old, with using both
diesel and electric power. |

Soybean Commodity Chain Consultant, Identity Preservation (IP) and Quality
issues for soybean production, harvest and each step of the marketing chain
in Mozambique. Reviewed training documents, review trails monitoring
reports, assistance in the organization of the logistic of inputs
distribution, define strategies for post harvest and quality procedures,
laboratory analyses, certification, logistic and export throw the Nacala
port. |
 | Turkmenistan, March/April 2004.
Commodity Feasibility and Development Assessment focused on Soybeans for
small farm plot owners in Turkmenistan. Assessed in their production and
marketing challenges in a Dictatorship Government, showed them the
advantages of joint marketing, facilitated in trade and promoted market
oriented production and purchasing activities through fair trade and
democratic ideas. |
 | Bahamas, December 2003. Met with the
Ministry of Agriculture and investigated the feasibility [pre feasibility
study] of growing and marketing high value horticulture for island
distributors and tourist trade [large resorts]. |
 | Ukraine Assignment, November 2003 [USAID]
- Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Co-op Feasibility and Development Assessment
was focused on groups of household plot owners in Ukraine. Assessed their
interest their production and marketing problems, and showed them the
advantages of joint marketing, facilitated in trade and investment by
meeting processors, promoted market oriented production and purchasing
activities through democratic cooperatives. |
 | Waste Management and Environmental
Consultant, May 2003 to Aug 2003 – North Carolina. Developed a program and
oversaw the implementation of a new manure waste management and irrigation
plan for one of the largest hog operations in the world. |
 | Russian Assignment, March/April 2003 [USAID]
- Omsk State Agriculture University. Updated the existing curriculum
[Management of Agriculture Machines Maintenance Service] in the Exploitation
of Tractors, Automobiles and Machinery Department. |
 | Honduras, April 2003. Investigated the
feasibility of making the Bay Islands self-sufficient by growing there own
vegetables and raising there own livestock, for local and tourist trade. |
 | Development Alternatives Inc.
Washington, DC, 2001 - Organized and led a USAID-funded project of 11
Romanians for a Beef cattle study tour throughout the USA. The focus of this
trip was to familiarize the participants with all aspects of the beef
industry in the USA. Returned to Romania for follow-up. On a second trip to
Romania, conducted a feasibility study and wrote a business plan on beef
cattle. |
 | Hacienda Austral, Chile/USA, 2006/2007
- Created a new market-driven specialty cheese product line for the U.S.
market. Managed the product development, Chilean sourcing, quality control,
exportation, U.S. importation of these products. Guided the company
start-up, distribution negotiations, product development and introduction of
new products to niche markets of U.S. in less than 6 months. |

-Provide strategic start-up and operational/marketing expertise to this
upstart casual/elegant dining (a new concept to Chile) restaurant formed by
entrepreneurs in Chile. Concept is intended to be replicated throughout
Latin America. This start-up exceeded sale projections by 14% and profits by
10% in its first quarter of operation. |

2004/2006 - Orchestrated a complete restructure and successful turnaround of
Heritage Health Products Company USA in less than 12 months. Revamped
operating systems and processes. More than doubled productivity
(sales/employee). Repositioned the company’s line of nutritional products
and revitalized the network of more than 10,000 distributors in 17 countries
on 4 continents. |

grants for this post-secondary technical institution in IT. Strategically
